The Olympic Games may sometimes have trouble selecting a suitable
venue, but for Olympic Tyres there is no question. The company has chosen to
exhibit at InterTyre 2001 as part of a major marketing initiative. It sees the
Birmingham-based exhibition as the ideal platform for the high-profile launch
of its new range of Norhead N.T. branded heavy truck tyres and has, accordingly,
taken a 100 square metre stand space.
According to Olympic Tyres’ Managing Director, Roy Reynolds,
‘The launch of N.T. is critical to the success of our 2001 marketing plans and
InterTyre 2001 meets all our criteria in terms of venue, timing and target audience.
I am confident we have made the right choice.’
Olympic Tyres has traded successfully in the UK market since
being founded 15 years ago by Roy Reynolds. In that time is has established
an enviable reputation for customer service. It is the sole importer for Olympic,
the tyre manufacturer founded in 1933 by Frank (later Sir Frank) Beaurepaire,
a noted Australian swimmer and the winner of three silver and three bronze Olympic
medals. Today, Olympic tyres are still designed and manufactured in Australia
by South Pacific Tyres Ltd.
Olympic Tyres operates a nation-wide and European distribution
service from its 1,850 square metre headquarters in Uttoxeter. The Olympic and
Norhead ranges comprehensively cover tyres for JCB and other industrial tractors,
agricultural machinery and earthmoving equipment.
