- Demand remains strong, but now past its peak
‘Demand for commercial vehicles has been very strong for the last 60 straight months,’ said Christopher Macgowan, SMMT chief executive. ‘While very recent trends suggest demand has peaked, we think the overall total for 2005 will top last year’s, with some sectors doing better than others.’
