CV Show and ATS – another outstanding success

21 June 2006 #SMMT News

Information from the organisers confirms the success of the recent CV Show and ATS at the NEC in late April. A survey of all 672 exhibitors, itself a record number, found some 90 per cent said the three-day event was a commercial success.

Nearly 90 per cent were happy with the event, with a similar number very pleased with the all-important visitor quality score and footfall around their stands. They also said they preferred a three-day format.

Well over 80 per cent of exhibitors said their main aims were to create sales leads, build brand awareness, widen networks and identify new opportunities. They went on to say that they were highly successful in hitting these targets.

‘This is excellent news and confirms our own belief that the show was an outstanding success,’ said Tony Young, exhibition manager. ‘And we’ve already had a record number of exhibitors asking about space at next year’s event. This is not surprising as independent data just released by the Audit Bureau of Circulations shows that we had a record 30,376 visitors this year.’

Next year’s CV Show and ATS at the NEC will be open from Tuesday 24 to Thursday 26 April inclusive. It is a business-to-business event with a proven track record as one of the biggest and most successful shows of its type in Europe.

The event is owned by the CV Show Partnership, comprising the Road Haulage Association, the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders and the Institute of Road Transport Engineers (IRTE), a professional sector of the Society of Operations Engineers. Crystal Communications handles stand space sales and marketing for the Partnership.
