Among the recently announced Birthday Honours, Moir Lockhead, chief executive at First Group received a knighthood for services to transport, while Christopher Macgowan, former chief executive of the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders picked up an OBE for services to the automotive industry. Sarah Sillars, chief executive of the Institute of the Motor Industry received an OBE for services to skills training and the retail automotive industry.
