“November bus and coach registrations continue the trends set over recent months”, said Paul Everitt, SMMT chief executive. “Strong growth in double-deck buses contrasts starkly with coaches and light mini buses lost out to medium weight models. Big bus demand has risen but won’t escape the recession now sweeping the economy. Over the medium and longer term we expect more people to use public transport, meaning a more positive outlook for bus makers.”
