“February registration data shows that all the bus segments are positive while coaches and van-based minibuses continue their decline,” said Paul Everitt, SMMT chief executive. “February is always very slow for coaches because by tradition operators wait for Easter for new vehicles and the new number plate in March reinforces that trend. Overall, though the outlook is steady, we cannot take anything for granted and remain very cautious”.
