The UK pavilion has returned for the third time to Automechanika Middle East, 25 – 27 May, in Dubai, to preview some of the world’s leading technologies in the aftermarket sector. Hosted by SMMT and supported by UKTI, this year’s group of UK-based suppliers and manufacturers will showcase a rapidly expanding portfolio of vehicle parts and components, accessories, repair and maintenance solutions, as well as IT and management systems, providing business decision makers with access to UK aftermarket expertise under one roof.
SMMT chief executive Paul Everitt said, “Each year, the UK pavilion at the Automechanika Middle East trade show attracts an increasing number of exhibitors as UK-based companies develop exciting new aftermarket innovations. The breadth and diversity of UK automotive supply chain is of considerable interest to the Middle East market, as is the ability to support a wide range of vehicle manufacturers and models in aftermarket and accessories. Prices play an important role in determining market share and the UK is now very competitive due to the pound versus US dollar exchange rate, making collaboration between the two markets particularly appealing.”
