28 July 2011 #SMMT News

There is just one month left to submit entries for the 2011 Autocar-Courland Next Generation Award, which is a national competition to identify, support and develop top automotive talent of the future.

Entrants from UK universities are invited to answer a brief set by Autocar Editor-in-Chief, Steve Cropley. The competition winner will receive invaluable work experience in the automotive industry, as well as a £7,500 cash prize.

Submissions are welcomed from all disciplines, including – but not limited to – engineering, marketing and communications, design and media. Special credit will be given to the originality of entrants’ responses.

The six best entrants will be invited to a Dragon’s Den-style judging day at Autocar HQ, where they will present their ideas to a panel of leading industry executives. Three finalists will be invited to the SMMT Annual Dinner supported by Lombard, where the winner will be announced.

Entries close on 28 August, and prospective entrants can find out more or submit a response at nextgen.autocar.co.uk.
