Another automotive milestone has been celebrated in the UK, as Leyland Trucks recently marked the production of the 100,000th DAF LF truck at its Lancashire plant.

The DAF LF vehicle range is a premium lightweight truck serving the 6 to 21 tonne market. DAF was one of the first European truck manufacturers to introduce green technology into production, with the introduction of the LF Hybrid in 2010.

“This milestone reflects the commitment and dedication of all Leyland employees,” said Andrea Thompson, Leyland Trucks Managing Director. She handed over the keys to the 100,000th truck to Graham Bellman, Group Head of Transport for Travis Perkins plc, which has more than 1,000 DAF LF trucks on its fleet.
