SMMT’s next webinar event on Wednesday 25 July 2012, 10:30-11:30, is dedicated to helping automotive companies develop their skills base, access funding for training and find out more about the benefits of taking on apprentices.
SEMTA, the UK’s Sector Skills Council for Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering, is responsible for representing a 1.7 million-strong workforce in the UK and they will present on the mechanisms available to help companies develop their capabilities.
Improving skills in manufacturing is key to driving the automotive industry forward and the webinar will also focus on the importance of a company-wide training plan and accessing support for skills development that provides real business benefits.
The panel will include:

- Lynn Tomkins, UK Operations Director, SEMTA.
