Automotive supply chain companies are set to benefit from a series of regional events this spring, as SMMT supports supply chain companies in the bid for growth.
The SME Support Roadshows will take place in three regions across the country in March and April, and will include presentations from various local support organisations as well as access to SMMT’s SME support services.
With UK car manufacturing set for all-time record volumes by 2017, there are plenty of opportunities for local suppliers to expand their operations; in fact, the shortfall in UK-sourced components is currently said to be worth £3 billion.
The dates for each SME Roadshow are as follows:
- North West – Wednesday 5 March, Wigan
- Wales – Thursday 6 March, Waterton
- North East – Tuesday 1 April, Sunderland
