796731_120214bmw-aBMW Group UK will recruit 13 new graduates into its MINI and BMW engine manufacturing plants as part of its latest scheme.

The BMW Group UK Graduate Programme will train successful applicants in a variety of areas ranging from engineering and finance to business and IT. Eight graduates will be based at MINI Plant Oxford, four at the firm’s pressings plant Swindon and one at the company’s engine plant at Hams Hall, near Birmingham.

During the two year programme that starts in October, graduates will complete five placements on various strategic and operational projects, allowing them to gain insight into business process, strategy and culture from a UK and global perspective.

Holly Chalmers, BMW Group UK’s recruitment and staffing manager, joined the company 25 years ago on a training scheme and has worked across a variety of HR disciplines and BMW Group sites during her career. Welcoming the scheme, she said: “Investment in young people has long been a key part of our development strategy for the plant and we are looking forward to recruiting talented young people who have a passion for the motor industry.”

Further information about the roles can be found on the BMW Group UK Apprentice, Intern and Graduate Opportunities Facebook page, where online applications can also be made.

Applications close on Friday 28 February 2014.
