Michelin has been supporting local communities, both socially through participation in local initiatives and in the form of economic development support.

The ‘Michelin Development’ initiative offers financial support, as well as business expertise and advice, to small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) by supporting viable projects that can demonstrate the potential to create or safeguard sustainable jobs. Since it started in 2003, the scheme has helped over 200 companies with £5.5 million in loans, helping to create 2,300 potential jobs.

Most recently, ‘Michelin Development’ has provided a five-figure loan, alongside business support and mentoring to help Okotech take its Heatboss intelligent heating control product to the next level.
