Growing the UK automotive supply chain

16 April 2015 #Reports Archive
The Automotive Council report reveals a big jump in demand from British vehicle manufacturers for British-made components.
Domestic component suppliers saw a 10% rise in sales to British vehicle manufacturers in 2014. Currently around one third of the components in a UK-built car domestically sources, compared to more than 90% in the mid-1970s.
The new report finds that as UK vehicle output increases, the supply chain re-shoring opportunity will grow to at least £4 billion worth of business a year. Download the report here.
