Individuals searching for the CO2 emissions level for their own vehicle should use the search facility.
Further information on the Graduated Vehicle Excise Duty scheme for new cars registered from March 2001 can be obtained from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency website.
The authoritative CO2 emissions figure will be shown on the vehicle registration document (V5) for new cars registered from March 2001.
In addition to this service the SMMT offers a series of statistical reports linking the CO2 value to volumes of registrations, fleet/private ownership, and petrol/diesel split and market segment.
From 1st January 2010, there will be significant changes to the vehicle registration application process: V55 documents and their electronic equivalent, AFRL. This is due to a new regulation on CO2 from cars has been approved by the European Parliament. For more information, please click here.
