SMMT has a history of providing its members with valuable opportunities to promote their work abroad through trade missions and exhibitions. The next mission to the Automechanika Show in Dubai will run from 31 May to 6 June 2009.  

One company that has benefited from previous exhibitions is TruckProtect which supported the SMMT recently at the Automechanika Show in Moscow.

Managing director of TruckProtect, Russell Fowler, said: “The quality of meetings has been exceptionally good, despite the global recession reducing the number of visitors to successive shows. The UK motor industry already has a strong global presence with more than 75% of the vehicles built in the UK each month being exported to over 100 markets worldwide.  SMMT is working to build the industry’s trade links further with ongoing relationships with China, Russia, Mexico and a host of other countries.
