Bus and coach registrations down 23.9% this September, driven by fall in converted bus registrations.
Coach registrations are strong, up 3.3% this month and 5.4% for the year so far.
Purpose-built bus market dropped 26 units for September, with a 10% fall year-to-date.

Today, SMMT released figures for August pre-registrations in the UK new car market. The data shows the number of cars disposed of by vehicle manufacturers in August 2014 that were defined as pre-registrations. CLICK HERE: Download the August 2014 release.

September registrations up 10.8% to 54,497 units; 269,456 commercial vehicles registered so far this year, up 12.6%.
Van market continues to drive growth; up 18.1% year-to-date to 242,071, and 14.1% in September to 49,123 units.

SMMT has published Electric Vehicle (EV) registration figures for September and the year-to-date.

Today (6 October), SMMT has announced that 425,861 new cars were registered in September. Not only does this make it the second-largest month of the year in terms cars registered – beaten only by March – it also makes this September the biggest for 10 years.
