UK commercial vehicle production fell by 1,642 units in August as the 2014 calendar saw some plants take additional shutdown, compared to last year, for retooling.
Year-to-date output down 24.6% to 45,928 units, but greater stability expected in coming months.


994,949 cars manufactured in the UK so far in 2014 – up 1.0% on January-August 2013.
