New MAS – how will it support manufacturing businesses?
On 28 February, Simon Griffiths, Director of the North and West England Manufacturing Advisory Service, presented on the latest Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS), launched in January to help small and medium manufacturing businesses develop and grow.
The national programme will be delivered by the Manufacturing Advisory Consortium (comprising Grant Thornton, Pera, WM Manufacturing Consortium and SWMAS) over the next three years – helping some 27,000 companies.
Estimates suggest new MAS will help to:
Generate £1.5bn in economic growth,
Create 23,000 jobs and
Safeguard 50,000 jobs.
