Customer Services Committee

The Customer Services Committee exists to discuss:

  • Issues surrounding the industry
  • Issues relating to the New Car Code of Practice and the many aspects of maintaining standards of customer service
  • Encourage discussion between members about the best working practice and developments within the automotive industry.

The Customer Services Committee serves as a vital tool enabling items of interest to be brought to the attention of the industry as a whole. This assists members in providing a consistent level of service to their customers.

The Committee meets every quarter, however, working groups are convened from time to time to address specific issues that may arise.

The Customer Services Committee is open to representatives from all subscriber companies involved in motor vehicle customer relations issues. The Committee chairman is elected biennially by ballot of the Committee members.

Copies of the New Car Code of Practice are available to download here. All SMMT members can have access to Motor Codes circulars and can view further correspondence in the member’s area of this site.
