The Commercial Vehicle Telematics Working Group

The Commercial Vehicle Telematics Working Group has been formed to monitor the development of road toll charging in the UK.

It aims is to keep members informed of developments and briefs with a view to provide effective representation and lobbying in the appropriate regulatory framing committees and in particular to ensure the systems developed and adopted in UK are interoperable in Europe.

The Working Group reports to and is annually reviewed by the ITS Working Group. Any fully paid member company can apply but because of the subject matter, prominence will be given to Commercial Vehicle companies and companies supplying the systems.

A ‘one page’ synopsis of each meeting is sent to all members of the committee, and is published in the monthly PPVL Technical Bulletin, which is available to all SMMT members on this site.
