Public Affairs Committee

The Public Affairs Committee meets to debate and discuss the promotion of the UK motor industry and its products through strategic media communication and advises the Executive Committee on all public affairs matters.

Membership of the Public Affairs Committee is by agreement of the steering group and is open to all director level PR/communication executives of member companies. Working documents are available to all SMMT members who are invited to raise issues for discussion at the meetings.

The Public Affairs Committee meets four times a year under a chairman elected from the committee who serves for a period of two years, or longer if re-elected. For full terms of reference, click here.
