Odette Technology Committee

The responsibilities of this Committee are to provide technical solutions for the Functional Committees.
These include:

• developing and maintaining technical solutions for data exchange: e.g. EDI messages (Odette, EDIFACT, ebXML), E-forms etc;
• handling message Change Requests:
  • to UN/CEFACT where appropriate (in line with UN/CEFACT procedures)
  • endorsed by the relevant Permanent Committee where it is process related.
• developing and maintaining the Odette File Transfer Protocol;
• developing global communication standards together with other relevant international bodies;
• creating a global automotive Business Model and evolution of an automotive Data Model and the corresponding databases with other relevant international bodies;
• monitoring, reporting and recommending new technologies.
