Truckfest was created 29 years ago, celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2012. In that time so many changes with road haulage and logistics have taken place that the industry has seen the demise of so many of it’s traditional and specialized events.
Truckfest has been the one constant event for operators and drivers throughout many difficult times and year on year increasing it’s popularity. Sponsored by Commercial Motor and Truck and Driver in England, and Transport News in Scotland, Truckfest has provided that all important meeting place for all sectors of the industry as well as a viable alternative to make contact with both principles and drivers alike in a relaxed atmosphere.
Truckfest has never pretended to be anything that it is not. What is undisputable is that the event’s popularity is dictated by the hauliers who attend the event. The last three years have seen all of the Truckfest events increasing their truck competitor entries and showing that the event is probably even more relevant in 2012 than it was in 1983 when it started. There is no shortage of professionalism and passion attributed to Truckfest and it is always there to provide a cost effective route to market.
