SMMT Foresight to build consortia for low carbon technology 27/01/2010
 Print Friendly

SMMT Foresight Vehicle, in partnership with the Low Carbon KTN (Knowledge Transfer Network) and the Automotive Applications Division of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3) has organised a low carbon vehicle partnering event on 4 February 2010.

The networking event has been organised ahead of the launch of the Technology Strategy Board’s Integrated Delivery Programme competition. The competition, opening 8 February 2010, will focus on projects that demonstrate significant CO2 improvement through the development of the UK automotive supply chain. The seminar, to be held at the International Manufacturing Centre Auditorium at Warwick University, will focus on building innovative research projects and consortia to address the development of ultra low carbon vehicle applications.

The one-day event will specifically cover supply chain research opportunities within key areas including transmission, components, and light-weighting. The latter half of the day will allow for networking and consortia building as delegates showcase ideas for projects in the competition.
