Volvo says it has made a major investment by beginning to build its new dealership in Wellingborough.
The company says the move will improve customer service in the region and will help to deliver a top quality experience for truck, bus and coach operators. The site, costing over £6 million, will become a purpose-built Dealerpoint in the town.
First turf on the site was broken recently by Volvo Group UK Managing Director Ulf Magnusson, with construction set to complete by this summer.
Volvo Truck and Bus Centre East Anglia Managing Director David Sullivan said: “As a business we are totally focused on delivering excellent service to local customers. The major investment we have made to secure this state of the art facility represents our long-term aspirations to provide local operators with the very best aftermarket service in the region.”
As part of plans for the Dealerpoint some 40 employees will move across to the new site from Kettering, which has already served the local area for 60 years. A new state of the art workshop at the site will include five drive through service lanes, a Roadcrew shop, a dedicated Used Truck stock and display area as well as parking.
