Audi Develop Sustainable Showrooms

01 July 2013 #Sustainability Case studies

Audi UK are developing their new showrooms with sustainability at the heart of the design to go beyond mandated requirements.

During 2012, new Maidstone and Swindon Audi showrooms opened, both boasting a range of features that include use of A-rated materials, low impact paints and varnishes, rainwater harvesting for use in WCs and landscape watering, permeable paving and SUDS to aid drainage of surface water and solar thermal water heating.

The Swindon site design has also incorporated photovoltaic panels and LED lighting, whereas Maidstone aims to increase its biodiversity through a sedum roof and wall and manages more of its own waste on site through a foul water treatment plant and on-site composting.
