Korean manufacturer Ssangyong has launched a new pick-up with a sector-leading seven-year, 150,000-mile warranty, on sale this month.
The new Musso is based on the Rexton SUV, a double cab pick-up built on a separate quad-frame chassis, with 3.5-tonne towing capability.
The Musso, which is Korean for ‘rhino’, features a five-seat crew-cab body style with a load deck designed to take a full-sized Euro pallet. It carries a payload of over one tonne and tows braked trailers of up to 3.5-tonnes concurrently, giving it highest total load capacity of any truck in the segment.
It has a 2.2-litre Euro 6 diesel engine with a choice of six-speed manual or automatic transmissions, along with an optional infotainment system that allows Apple CarPlay or Android auto smartphone mirroring.
The seven-year warranty covers the truck for up to 150,000-miles and includes all major mechanical components, other than service items such as tyres, batteries and wearable brake parts such as discs and pads.
