Mercedes-Benz Vans’ sales programme wins accolade

Mercedes-Benz Vans has picked up an award for its Van Talent Development Programme, which trains staff to work in its dedicated LCV dealerships.

The company won Sales Development Programme of the year at the Institute of Sales Management BESMA Awards last week.The award recognises an organisation or partnership programme that has been implemented into an organisation’s processes to develop its sales environment.

The  programmewas developed in-house over two years at Mercedes-Benz Vans UK with employees gaining an Institute of Sales & Marketing Management (ISMM) Level 3 Diploma in Sales and Marketing.

Now in its eighth intake, the two-year programme sees around 25 delegates every six months. It focuses on sales and aftersales skills in the van sector across a mixture of formal training, feedback, coaching and on-the-job experience, with all delegates having a dedicated mentor to support them through the course.
