The Brexit Taskforce is an SMMT group set up following the UK’s vote to leave the EU in June 2016. The Taskforce supports the development of industry positions and priorities with regards to all aspects of the UK’s withdrawal from, and development of, a new relationship with the European Union.
The meetings provide a forum for member to discuss and develop SMMT positions on Brexit (including around Single Market access, regulatory influence, future trade relationships and access to talent), ensure that the range and diversity of member views are understood and represented, and provide regular reports to the Executive Board, Policy Co-ordination Committee and other SMMT Committees or Sections as appropriate.
