Brexit Update – 31 October
Listen to Sydney Nash, Senior Policy Manager at SMMT, on the latest Brexit developments, where we now stand on a ‘no deal’ exit and what could potentially take place in-between now and the end of the year.
Customs in a ‘No Deal’ Scenario Webinar – 17 October
Goods moving between the UK and EU27 are currently deemed ‘intra-EU movements’ resulting in very little, if any, documentation needing to be supplied to government authorities on either side.
Should the UK leave the EU on 31 October without a deal, these UK/EU movements will be considered imports and exports, dramatically changing what needs to happen to process the movement of these goods across the border. New customs procedures will be introduced and additional checks and inspections are likely to apply, marking a significant change in the way that we do business.
This webinar provides an opportunity for businesses to better understand the changes that could result from a ‘no deal’ Brexit and how these might affect their business.
Trade and Tariffs in a ‘No Deal’ Scenario Webinar – 24 October
How the UK trades with both the EU and the rest of the world will fundamentally change if the UK leaves the EU on 31 October without an agreement.
New barriers to trade will emerge and costs will go up as new tariffs are applied to UK/EU trade, while trade with the rest of the world will be fundamentally reshaped.
This webinar is an opportunity for SMMT members to understand the full range of changes in the UK’s international trade relations that will take place from 31 October should the UK leave the EU without a deal.
