SMMT is attending the Automotive Suppliers Day in Esslingen, Germany, organised by eMobil Baden-Württemberg – the State Agency for New Mobility Solutions.
UK companies are invited to attend.
Summary of opportunity for UK companies:
- Network with up to 400 attendees from across the German automotive sector
- Speaking opportunity on topic of digitisation (subject to organiser’s approval)

This one day conference and networking event is expected to attract 300-400 people representing OEMs and suppliers from Baden-Wurttemberg and the rest of Germany. The conference programme is here.
In addition to the conference sessions, there will be a poster exhibition, providing a platform for participants to showcase their research and projects. This exhibition will be followed by a dedicated networking session, offering attendees the chance to connect, collaborate, and exchange ideas with one another.
A key theme of the conference programme is digitisation of the automotive sector and there is a speaking opportunity for a UK company in the ‘International Lighthouse Projects’ session. This session will include speakers from industry players (OEM/suppliers) that are advancing digitalisation in the automotive industry and can illustrate exemplary projects.

Flights and Hotels:
You will need to make your own flight and hotel bookings. There are some hotels in Esslingen and plenty in Stuttgart. The conference venue is 20 – 30 minutes travel from central Stuttgart.

- For the speaking slot the organisers are looking for speakers on the topic of advancing digitalisation in automotive such as software-defined car, automated and connected mobility, automotive manufacturing. Speaking slot subject to organiser’s approval. Please contact us if you have a suitable project to present.
