- Association aims to set installation standards and improve safety
The Commercial Vehicle Racking Association (CVRA) has been set up to represent manufacturers and importers of CV racking systems and modular storage systems in the UK.
Part of The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), the CVRA’s main role will be to improve installation standards and address safety related issues. Standards for vehicle bulkheads will be a priority for the new body.
Andrew Humphrey, managing director of Bri-Stor Systems Ltd will be the chairman, with David Barber, managing director, H Modul Ltd, acting as his deputy.
Commenting on the new association Christopher Macgowan, chief executive of SMMT, said ‘SMMT is delighted to support the CVRA. The Association’s drive to improve safety is very much in line with the Society’s philosophy that the industry should take the lead in such matters.’
