Rolls-Royce New Technology and Logistics Centre

Rolls-Royce has announced that it will open a new Technology and Logistics Centre in Bognor Regis, West Sussex in 2016, safeguarding 200 jobs and creating a number of new roles.

The 30,000m2 site will complement Rolls-Royce’s manufacturing facility just eight miles away in Goodwood. It will consolidate three current operations – an inbound warehouse for production parts, a distribution centre, including storage for newly-built cars, and a workshop for car preparation.

Torsten Müller-Ötvös, Chief Executive Officer for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, said, “I am delighted to announce our new Technology and Logistics Centre, which reflects the sustainable development and ongoing success of our business. Every Rolls-Royce motor car is built at the Home of Rolls-Royce at Goodwood and this new facility will provide the required local logistics support for our current and future models.”

He continued, “Rolls-Royce is a British manufacturing success and we remain fully committed to building our future here in West Sussex.”

All Rolls-Royce Motor Cars are produced at its facility in West Sussex. In 2013 the manufacturer saw its strongest year to date, with 3,630 cars sold worldwide. The continued global success of luxury manufacturers, such as Rolls-Royce has contributed to the export value of UK-built cars doubling in the past decade.
