Five minutes with… Calum James, General Manager of Farizon Auto UK

26 Mar 2026
Tell us about the specification of the Farizon SV van.

The Farizon SV delivers a host of innovations, world-first technologies and one highly specified trim level across all variants. Every van includes heated and ventilated seats and a heated steering wheel (heating the driver rather than the cabin is more efficient), a 360-degree camera, a payload monitoring system, and a whole suite of advanced safety systems as standard, resulting in a five-star EuroNCAP safety rating. While the spec is extensive, the fundamentals of utility and practicality are at the core of the SV’s proposition. It offers up to 1,350kg of payload, up to 13m³ of load space, and a low 550mm loading height. Catering to everyone from individual tradespeople to large fleets, the van is available in five size combinations, from L1 H1 to L3 H3, with battery options of 67kWh, 83kWh and up to 106kWh. A single electric powertrain delivers 170kW and 336Nm of torque, with a towing capacity of up to two tonnes.

What makes the Farizon SV truly different?

Whereas most eLCVs on the market today are based on existing ICE platforms, the SV offers no compromises. It was conceived, designed and developed to be electric. As well as its impressive practicality and generous equipment levels, the SV’s dedicated electric platform means it’s truly built for business. With a WLTP range of up to 247 miles (combined), and a 20 to 80 per cent charge possible in as little as 36 minutes, the SV makes it easier for commercial operators to transition to electric. Our partnerships with the likes of ChargePoint and Hypervolt also make charging even easier with dedicated solutions for fleet and retail customers. Also, in what is a very competitive market, the SV was a finalist in the 2026 International Van of the Year, and is a multiple award winner in the UK.

How is the Farizon UK dealer network developing?

The UK network is growing steadily, with eight sites currently operating across London, the South West and the Midlands. We’re focusing on building strong sales and aftersales coverage, and we’re partnering only with expert retailers who really understand the demands of van drivers and fleets, and who share our commitment to delivering exceptional and efficient customer service. This year will see significant further expansion of our footprint across the country. We’ve also partnered with The AA for nationwide service, maintenance, repair and roadside assistance support, so customers are already covered wherever they are.

What products will Farizon have on its stand at the CV Show this year?

We’ll be displaying the 2026 SV at this year’s show, which introduces several updates to the van. For the driver, ergonomic enhancements include six-way adjustable seating and four-way steering adjustment to improve driver comfort. We’re also introducing Android Auto compatibility for improved connectivity. A small number of important security updates also mean that the SV’s insurance rating will improve further, meaning even lower insurance premiums. The updates build on the existing specification without any price increases.

We’re also planning to bring new potential variations of the SV to show customers and see how they are received, with a view to assessing viability of the business case for them: I can’t share details here, but it’s going to be exciting!

How important is the CV Show for Farizon?

It’s a major focus for us as it brings together SMEs, fleet operators and interesting partnership opportunities in one place. It offers us a platform to introduce to a broad cross-section of the market how the SV has a significant lead over its competitors in terms of capability, versatility and value for money. And as a new, fast-growing brand in the UK, maximising our visibility at key industry events like the CV Show is essential. We also take it as a valuable opportunity to engage with fleet customers and listen to their thoughts and feedback, helping us shape our value proposition.
