Can we expect any product developments in the 2026 van range?
That’s a very timely question! We’re always listening to customers and feeding back to our product development colleagues at MAXUS. Although the current van line-up offers an excellent choice of base models, with myriad specification options in between, we are excited to be introducing an update to the range, and we’ll be revealing more details at the CV Show.
Tesco recently added 750 MAXUS eDELIVER 9 vans to its fleet. Is MAXUS also picking up sales of the van from smaller operators?
Absolutely. The Tesco order is a significant statement from a major fleet, demonstrating the capability of the MAXUS electric proposition. However, the eDELIVER 9 has always proved popular with smaller operators and regional businesses. One of the strengths of the MAXUS range is that it scales well across different types of customers – from large national fleets through to owner-drivers and SMEs. Our dealer network is seeing strong demand from local delivery firms, tradespeople and independent logistics operators who want a capable EV with a strong warranty and competitive TCO. In many cases, these businesses are making their first move into electric vehicles.
Describe the MAXUS dealer network in the UK and have there been any recent additions?
Our dealer network has grown rapidly alongside the brand. We now have more than 90 dealerships across the UK, representing an increase of over 20% year-on-year, and that expansion is continuing. The aim is to ensure customers have easy access not just to sales, but to service, parts and technical support wherever they are in the country. Alongside the network map, we’ve invested heavily in aftersales infrastructure, technician training and our national parts operation to maximise vehicle uptime. For operators, particularly those running electric fleets, strong support and technical capability are just as important as the product itself.
How important is your recent appointment as managing director for MAXUS in the UK?
MAXUS has experienced rapid growth in the UK over the past few years, and my appointment last autumn reflected the latest stage in that journey. The focus now is on building sustainable market share, strengthening our dealer partnerships and ensuring we continue to deliver a first-class experience for customers. As I mentioned, we’ve already made significant investments in areas such as fleet support, technical infrastructure and network development. My role is to bring those elements together and ensure the business continues to grow in a structured and customer-focused way as the market evolves.
How important is the Commercial Vehicle Show for MAXUS?
The CV Show is one of the most important events in the UK transport calendar and a key platform for us to engage directly with operators, fleet managers and industry partners. It provides an opportunity to showcase the breadth of the MAXUS range while also having meaningful conversations with customers about the challenges they’re facing as the LCV sector – and road transport generally – transitions toward electrification. For us, it’s as much about listening as it is about presenting new products.
What will MAXUS have on its stand at the CV Show?
Visitors will see an extensive cross-section of our electric and diesel LCV range – and there’ll be some exciting news from the MAXUS marque, too! Our electric van lineup is strong, and we’ll be showcasing several key models. The stand will also highlight the wider MAXUS ecosystem – from telematics and fleet support services through to our growing dealer and aftersales network. Ultimately, we want operators to see that MAXUS is not just introducing new vehicles, but building a complete LCV proposition for the UK market.
