Overview

SMMT are supporting Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) who are organising a trade mission to SUBCON Thailand.

The BOI was established in 1977. It operates under the Office of the Prime Minister, and is a government body that helps promote direct investment into Thailand. The Paris office, one of SMMT’s international partners, overseas engagement from companies in the UK as well as France, Ireland, Italy, Portugal and Spain.

SUBCON Thailand is the ASEAN regions largest industrial part-sourcing and business-matching event, with 2026 marking the 20th edition of the show. 2025 saw over 46,000 visitors with almost 10,000 B2B meetings taking place. The event will feature industrial parts for industries such as automotive, aviation, digital, electronics, machinery and robotics.

SUBCON Thailand is co-located with INTERMACH and Plastics and Rubber Thailand.

Trade Mission overview

The Trade Mission will include site visits, pre-arranged B2B meetings (with automotive companies), visit to SUBCON Thailand including a conference and exhibition, and networking reception. The BOI delegation will comprise companies from all countries that fall within the BOI Paris offices’ remit.

Please note that it’s not mandatory to attend all site visits (if you feel any of these are not relevant), however it is mandatory to attend the days at SUBCON and participate in the B2B business matching.

Cost: Trade mission attendance is free of charge for 1 attendee per company. NOTE: Additional attendees can attend however will not be eligible for the complimentary hotel. All costs are covered except flights and subsistence (payable at the attendees expense).
