News from Isuzu Truck: Isuzu Truck will be unveiling four vehicles from it’s recently announced 2014 range of Euro-6 trucks at the CV Show.
In addition the company will be launching a new parts club loyalty scheme, an initiative available to all existing and future ITUK customers to help them save money in the short and long term.
In line with the latest Euro-6 legislation, Isuzu Truck will be showing two versions of the brand-new lighter N75.150 Urban 4×2 rigid. All previous Isuzu Euro-5 7.5-tonners only had one engine option and this was the four-cylinder, 5.2-litre, 190bhp version. The new Euro-6 Urban model features Isuzu’s turbocharged four-cylinder 3.0 litre 150bhp engine.
By using the lighter weight 3.0-litre engine, the new Euro-6 N75.150 Isuzu Urban is over 200kg lighter than the Euro-6 N75.190 Forward model. So whilst the Euro-6 N75.190 Forward remains available for operations that involve more arduous, longer and faster average-speed journeys, the new 150bhp Isuzu Urban is ideal for payload critical, stop-start, local distribution operations.
The fact remains that all Isuzu’s Euro-6 models now combine EGR and SCR technology and therefore the unladen weight of each model has increased slightly over it Euro-5 predecessor. However, by introducing the 3.0 litre engine option into the 7.5-tonner, the new Euro-6 150bhp Urban weighs just about the same as the previous Euro-5 190bhp Forward.
One of the new Isuzu Forward Urban vehicles will feature a Petit Forestier bodied refrigerated truck with a Carrier Xarios refrigeration system, whilst the second of the new Urban vehicles will have a dropside body.
As part of the company’s twin option solution at 7.5t, alongside the two Urban 7.5-tonners will be the latest Euro-6 version of Isuzu’s popular N75.190 4×2 rigid – this will be specified with a tipper body. Both 150bhp Urban and 190bhp Forward models can have either manual or Isuzu’s Easyshift transmissions – an example of both options will be represented on the stand.
Completing the four vehicle line-up on the Isuzu Truck stand will be a Euro-6 version of the company’s 11 tonne GVW Isuzu Forward F110.210, and this vehicle will feature a curtain-sided body.
“Whilst our new Euro-6 vehicles will be a major talking point at the show, we’re also pleased to announce the launch of the Isuzu Truck’s new Parts Club,” said Keith Child, Marketing Director at Isuzu Truck. “Well before the show opens, all existing Isuzu Truck customers will have received their membership pack details. If they haven’t already done so they can immediately join at the show. Be being a member of the club our customers will receive regular offers on accessories, genuine parts and service items from us and their local dealers.”
The Isuzu Truck Genuine Parts Club will have a dedicated area within the main Isuzu Truck stand and the company is also launching a dedicated website to support the Isuzu Genuine Parts Club.
