This week (12 May) Heather Wheeler, MP for South Derbyshire, officially opened the new headquarters of Eclipse Automotive Technology in Swadlincote.
Eclipse outgrew its previous premises and the new facilities will facilitate the company’s continued growth, alongside more in-house training and further expansion of its technical support team.
The new training suite provides modern classroom facilities and workshops where students can learn the principles and practicalities of working with some of the most advanced diagnostic equipment in the industry.
Heather Wheeler when shown the facilities said, “South Derbyshire is becoming a centre for innovative industries and particularly for those associated with the motor industry. Companies such as Eclipse are vital to the future growth, providing technically advanced products for commercial vehicles that improve the on-going service levels, benefiting both aftermarket service providers and fleet operators.”
Eclipse Sales Director Richard Parkin added, “We are delighted to move into our new home which, as we grow, will enable us to continue to support our customers and further develop our strong training and customer support philosophy.”
Since Eclipse was established in January 2004, the company has seen strong and growing demand for its Testpad Extreme products, based on the powerful Jaltest software. The Derbyshire firm has become the largest supplier of multi-brand diagnostic equipment to the commercial aftermarket sector and is seeing increasing demand from large fleet operators and small workshops. The new headquarters will enable it to continue support for increasing demand with the same commitment and skill that has always been the hallmark of the company.
