All staff at Vauxhall, including contractors and hourly staff, are encouraged to volunteer or participate one day a year – fully paid – to work on local causes as part of their CSR programme. Team working is encouraged, but individual undertakings can be arranged. Examples include 90 engineers repairing community centres, supporting a Luton food bank making food parcels, cataloguing donations and delivering parcels. Another project saw Managing Director Tim Tozer and the Board of Directors at Vauxhall Motors support a Luton charity by renovating a house for young, vulnerable and disadvantaged homeless people.
