- UK engine production rises 14.6% in May to 218,674 units as major plant investments are realised.
- Domestic demand grows 41.4% to 98,076 units, offsetting a small -0.7% fall in production for export.
- Overseas markets take lion’s share of output, with 631,782 engines exported in the year to date.

As May’s figures show, exports still make up the lion’s share of manufacturing volumes so it is important we maintain favourable trade conditions for future investment and growth.”
