The Iveco Daily Tourys was voted the first ‘International Minibus of the Year’ by an international jury of journalists representing leading European road transport magazines.

Judges pinpointed the Tourys for top honours after an intensive three-day test. It was among seven vehicles that were put through their paces in real road conditions with uphill and downhill sections, motorways, narrow roads and a variety of situations.

This new award was created by the European International Bus and Coach of the Year Awards to recognise minibuses, microbuses and midibuses designed for professional passenger transport.

The Daily Tourys was recognised for its high level of customer personalisation it offers, as well as the best-in-class luggage capacity and high level of standard features.

The judges were also impressed with 180hp three-litre diesel engine as well as the two-year full warranty with unlimited miles for a competitive total cost of ownership.

Tom Terjesen, President of the Bus and Coach of the Year jury, said, “Iveco Daily Tourys combined high quality bodywork, together with a premium comfort for the passenger. The driveline, with a strong Euro 6 diesel engine and the best gearbox ever made in this class, makes the journey an experience to remember.

“The high capacity of luggage and a great idea with a flap inside the luggage compartment give even more space if needed. The fact that this is a complete factory built minibus makes the maintenance and service more efficient wherever you are on the road in Europe.”
