Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has signed a deal with Bournville Village Trust for the supply and maintenance of its new van fleet.
36 new Transporter vans will be used by the Bournville Village Trust, which provides housing and estate management to over 8,000 properties across the Birmingham and Telford areas, including social housing, retirement homes, parks and open spaces.
The Transporters are fitted with some of the latest features including slamlocks, alarms and full telematics support for maximum efficiency, and were supplied by the Birmingham Van Centre on contract hire through the Volkswagen Financial Services Fleet.
Paul McNamara, Support Service Manager at the Trust, said: “Our old fleet was in definite need of a revamp and, as Volkswagen is well known for its reliability, it was the perfect choice for our new commercial vehicles. We have been able to customise the vehicles to our needs, with features including bespoke bulkheads and telematics technology. And by opting for the Transporter, the size of the load compartment means we can reduce the number of times the team has to shuttle to and from locations, while at the same time ensuring drivers have an enjoyable experience behind the wheel.”
