Tell us a bit about your business?
Andover Trailers was established in 1985 and has grown to become one of the best regarded names in bespoke trailer manufacturing.
From our production sites in Andover, Hampshire, we currently employ 22 people in the back office, sales and design departments, with 45 skilled workers on the shop floor.
What does the business do?
We design and construct bespoke heavy plant trailers, specialist trailers, drawbars and plant bodies.
As a business we pride ourselves on impeccably high standards of engineering, using the best materials in order to achieve an unparalleled combination of strength, low weight and low height, as well as providing maximum ease of operation.
The result is a product range of exceptional quality and durability which has earned a loyal customer base from owner-drivers and plant hire companies, to machinery manufacturers, commercial vehicle dealers, hauliers, local authorities and the armed forces, not only in the UK, but across the world.
How is business? What’s the outlook for the year ahead?
Business is fantastic. 2019 was one of our strongest years yet, and we have an extremely positive outlook for 2020; our order books are looking very healthy.
It’s particularly pleasing that we continue to secure both new business and repeat orders from our long-standing customer base, and we believe this is testament to our reputation.
What are the big issues or technological advances that fill you with positivity?
As a business, we’ve already positioned ourselves at the cutting edge of design and manufacture, so there aren’t really any big issues or major technological advances that will affect us moving into 2020. What does fill us with positivity though, is the feedback we continue to get from our customers.
