BEDEO has announced that its partnership with Stellantis to provide the electric drivetrains for the Peugeot e-Boxer and Citroën e-Relay vans will be extended to cover the Vauxhall Movano-e model range. The Movano-e, with a range of up to 139 miles, will be available in four different wheelbase lengths and three heights, and is on sale from later this summer.
The van will be the Vauxhall’s first all-electric light commercial and will be available as a panel van, crew cab and chassis cab. The Movano-e will be joined by the Vivaro-e and, later this year, the Combo-e, meaning that Vauxhall will offer fully-electric models across its entire van range.
The Movano-e will come with a choice of 37kWh or 70kWh battery, providing a range of 72 or 139 miles. The electric motor generates 120bhp and 260Nm torque and enables the van to be exempt from current ultra-low emissions and congestion charge payments. The lithium-ion battery has been packaged under the floor between the axles, ensuring that the cargo area is uncompromised, with efficiency boosted by a regenerative braking system.
Paul Willcox, Vauxhall managing director, said, “With the introduction of an all-new Movano-e, Vauxhall is now one of very few brands offering an electric variant across its entire LCV range, giving buyers the choice to go fully electric to suit the needs of their business and benefit from the environmental, ownership cost and user experience benefits they offer. As a brand, Vauxhall is committed to offer an electrified variant across its entire car and van range by 2024.”
