Tell us more about the MAXUS eDELIVER 7 launched at the CV Show?

The eDELIVER 7 is our third electric van to be launched in the UK market in the last three years and will be the first vehicle in the MAXUS EV range to enter the mid-size van market, fitting snugly between our smaller eDELIVER 3 van and larger eDELIVER 9 option. The e DELIVER 7 will be available in in three size configurations and two battery options, a 77kWh and 88kWH and announces our arrival into the largest sector of the UK CV market – the 1 tonne payload van sector.

This particular vehicle will offer drivers up to 226 miles on a single charge and comes with all the modern safety features you expect in a commercial vehicle today, with a 12.3 inch touchscreen infotainment system thrown in for good measure. We’ll be announcing pricing for this vehicle in June with our dealerships taking orders from August. It was really well received at its launch at this year’s CV Show and we are very confident that it will perform well in the UK market.

Can you give us more details about the MAXUS scrappage scheme for 2023 to encourage the uptake of electric commercial vehicles?

Our 2023 scrappage programme offering drivers the opportunity to make the switch to electric, save money and receive a free home or workplace charger too. Customers can trade in any registered vehicle at a MAXUS dealership and upgrade their existing vehicle to a brand-new zero emission MAXUS vehicle and making considerable savings on our standard retail prices.

Is the MAXUS T90 all-electric pick-up now available to buy in the UK?

Yes, the T90EV is available to order and purchase right now from any of our 60+ dealerships across the UK. With zero BIK tax and available for immediate delivery. Launched at CV Show in 2022, the T90EV has become the first electric pickup to enter the UK market and was very well received with over 1000 dealer orders made by the end of August 2022.

Sales are still going strong for this vehicle. With a powerful range of 219 miles per charge, we see the T90EV as the perfect on-road electric pickup for drivers who like style ‘and’ function. It features a one-tonne payload catering to those who need a workhorse, but its contemporary exterior and high level of spec allows us to attract drivers who simply want an eye-catching truck that they can enjoy on the daily.

Any recent additions to the UK dealer network to announce?

Right now, we have over 60 dealerships in the MAXUS network and this number will grow even further over the next few months. Stoneacre Motor Group will soon become our largest MAXUS dealership with the opening of a brand-new Vanworld dealership in Blackburn imminent. The new dealership will feature a dedicated sales and aftersales team for MAXUS customers across the wider Lancashire area. The new dealership at Blackburn will add to Stoneacre MAXUS’s pre-existing presence in Chesterfield, Sheffield, Darlington and Stoke-on-Trent.

What have been the benefits of the recent move to the new UK head office in Liverpool?

The UK Headquarters in Liverpool is four times the size of our old HQ in Warrington and stands at 52,000 square feet, allowing us to grow our presence in the UK and scale even further in the year’s ahead. The location gives grants us easy access to Liverpool dock for imports and exports and provides great locations links to the rest of the UK. Plus, it is a hub for innovation, and innovation is what MAXUS does best.

Currently, we have 30 staff onsite at our new HQ, including the Harris MAXUS technical, distribution and sales teams, as well as a parts depot and warehouse. Our Liverpool HQ also houses the MAXUS technical training academy, which teaches engineers how to work on and repair MAXUS EV vehicles. This training is so important as technology continues to change, and models are upgraded.

We’re committed to training up as many engineers as possible so that they feel confident when working on our range of EV, making the MAXUS training academy integral to our HQ facilities.
