Renault Trucks T High set for superbike championship

24 August 2023 #Truck

A versatile Renault Trucks T High 6×2 tractor will be used to transport spares and tools to race circuits involved in this year’s British Superbike Championship, after the vehicle joined the fleet of Suffolk removals firm Safepac.

The new T High forms part of Safepac’s sponsorship agreement with the McAMS Yamaha team for the series and it will also be utilised as a hospitality trailer catering for 250 guests.

When not on show at the championship, the T High is being used on military removals for US forces across Europe.

The vehicle, which has full cab paint in metallic blue with matching side skirts, mirrors, plastic front screen surround and full chassis infill, includes LED lamps fitted to the top as well as lo-bars and Alcoa Dura Bright wheels that complete the high-end finish.

It has also been specified with optional extras including a TV, microwave, coffeemaker, 40L fridge, heated and ventilated luxury driver’s seat, air suspension, luxury cab curtain and bunk, memory foam mattress topper, air conditioning and ultimate leather steering wheel.

Having previously run a Midlum rigid, this is the first Renault Trucks tractor unit on the operator’s 47-strong fleet.

Nick Pearson, Safepac Director, said: “Safepac has been working with the McAMS Yamaha Superbike team for four years and, as the vehicle is appearing on TV and in the paddock on race days, I wanted a showstopper of a truck, something that really stands out and showcases our own business.”
