Herd supplies FM Conway with 12 Renault electric vans

Herd Group has supplied infrastructure services company FM Conway with 12 new Renault Kangoo E-Tech electric vans for use on its projects in London.

The order aligns with the company’s commitment to switching half of its less than 1.5-tonne vehicles to fully electric by 2025 with the goal of changing all 1.5-tonne vehicles to electric in the future.

Herd Group spent time working with FM Conway to understand not only the way the vehicles were used, but where and how this aligned with FM Conway’s broader net zero strategy.

The company delivered the E-Techs ready for the roads, with Chapter 8 included in the livery requirements, which is best practice for maintenance and civil engineering companies working on highways.

They were also supplied under the group’s Herd Zero flexible, scalable solution to help fleets transition to an electric fleet in a way that makes most sense for each business.

Danielle Davison, Herd Group Fleet Director said: “The EV landscape is evolving at a rapid pace and adoption within the LCV space has now become a priority for many fleets.

“At Herd we understand the transition to electric needs careful consideration, as such, we work closely with customers to help identify vehicles that work from a range, payload, and capability perspective.”

Dan Conway, Plant, Transport & Workshop Director, said: “The plan is to integrate more electric vehicles across the business to meet our 2025 target.

“The Herd Group have made the fleet transition as seamless and efficient as possible. With lack of business interruption being key, the switch to electric vehicles has been no different to any new fleet changes.”
