Pembroke VCT has invested £4m in Exeros Technologies to support team growth and product innovation at the UK-based telematics and AI video intelligence company
The new funding from the investment firm is expected to strengthen the UK position of Exeros in a video telematics market expected to exceed $12 billion by 2030.
This growth is being propelled by increasing AI adoption and evolving safety regulations.
For example, key initiatives like Transport for London’s (TfL) Direct Vision Standard – which measures how much an HGV driver can see directly through their cab windows – are accelerating demand for more innovative fleet technologies.
Exeros products are used by more than 200 fleets, including the AA, RAC, National Highways, Whistl, and ScottishPower.
Its core platform – VideMatics – analyses multi-camera video and vehicle data in real-time to detect risks such as fatigue or distraction.
The firm is led by CEO and Co-Founder Jay Biring, with more than a decade of experience in automotive technology and product strategy, as well as COO and Co-Founder Joe Williams, who leads large-scale fleet safety operations.
Biring said: “This investment allows us to accelerate development of the next generation of AI-powered solutions, embedding intelligence directly at the edge of our vehicle cameras, within our VideMatics software platform, and across driver-facing applications.
“VideMatics will quickly become one of the leading video telematics platforms, redefining how fleets use data and video to improve safety, efficiency and compliance.”
