Isuzu UK has launched the commercial variant of its new D-Max 2.2 pick-up range – a vehicle which qualifies as a fully commercial vehicle for Benefit-in-Kind and Capital Allowance purposes.
Available in all double cab versions including DL20, DL40 and V-Cross specifications, the D-Max Commercial maintains its four-door layout, with the commercial conversion to the interior only.
The rear seats and seat belts have been removed and a solid bulkhead with mesh viewing screen fitted behind the front seats.
A flat phenolic floor is installed, and a rear cab protection panel fitted with mesh vision panel into the flatbed load area.
The new commercial variant, like all D-Max 2.2 pick-ups, can be fitted with optional bedliner to the rear loadspace as well as towbar or canopy, either at point of ordering a new vehicle or as Isuzu aftermarket accessories.
The new D-Max 2.2 Commercial also features a payload capacity of over one tonne and a towing capacity of 3,500kg.
Outputting 163 PS and 400 Nm of torque from its new 2.2 litre bi-turbo diesel engine, a shift-on-the-fly four-wheel drive system allows switching between high gear two- and four-wheel drive at speeds of up to 62 mph.
A low-gear four-wheel drive mode, coupled with rear differential lock and rough terrain mode are standard across the range.
It comes with a five year, 125,000-mile warranty, as well as UK and EU roadside assistance.
Alan Able, Managing Director of Isuzu UK said: “The new Isuzu D-Max 2.2 Commercial further extends the D-Max pick-up range with both practical and financial benefits.
“The commercial variant joins the Single, Double and Extended Cab options launched earlier this year, and expands the pick-up’s appeal across broad commercial, utility and agricultural environments.”
